Langer was created by a pharmaceutical company as an incomplete clone -- a clone whose DNA would be able to bind with a human's to identically replicate that human's organs, blood, skin, etc. The LNG-ER line was intended to service high capacity Emergency Rooms to be able to provide quick replacement parts for humans. The incomplete clones for the most part were treated as tools despite their human appearance, and having internal organs removed on a regular basis was part of their function.

For two years, Langer existed in this situation. In the beginning, he was a proper tool, unresponsive and unemotional. However, he began to develop a personality and childlike emotions after dealing with the doctors and primarily the nurses, who would occasionally forget and treat him like a human being. The first time he admitted to being scared, the pharmaceutical company recalled him to take him apart and make future generations of the line more solidly emotionless; a tool with emotions was useless after all.

However, Langer did have emotions, and when the guards came to retrieve him, he panicked and fused their bones in place to keep them from following him as he ran away. Still very much childlike, he only knew how to run and barely knew how to maintain himself. He lived on the streets, fusing people who tried to hurt him, and began to become fascinated by the human form and what he could produce through fusing bones. He began fusing people into shapes, usually dancing, and while the process could be painful, he could also ease the pain. He spent 3 years playing with human statues and without supervision. One day he stumbled across someone that he wanted to make a statue of, and the man spoke to him as a person. This fascinated Langer enough to keep him around and the man endured multiple fusings during his time with him. However, this man was a bounty hunter for the pharmaceutical company, and once Langer had let down his guard enough, he incapacitated him and brought him back to be vivisected.

After his death, Langer woke up in Thusia. This was an unusual place for him because no on there knew that he was a tool to be used, and it took him a long time to adjust to that reality. It took longer for him to adjust to the insistence of his primary companion (Tyki) that he should speak, use sentences, express himself. In short, he was slowly adapting to being human. After calming down enough to feel less uneasy about the gods, he approached the science god to learn about medicine and his own body and how to treat and heal humans on his own. His fusing for art became less common, though not entirely forgotten; he's just more discreet with it.

Langer has been alive and conscious at this point for about 10-11 years, and while he has made leaps and bounds in his understanding of human emotions, he is quite stunted emotionally. He has been learning to act like an adult, and in some respects he has exceeded greatly (being better able to hold conversations and interact with people), in other respects he is still lagging and attempting to learn more (emotional expression, intimacy, etc). For the most part, he is quiet and reserved. He enjoys observing humanity and learns a great deal from them that way. He is still a creeper though and that part will never change. His reactions are still not quite natural enough for him to be anything less.

As a medical tool, Langer is nearly impossible to destroy. He can regrow just about any part of his body given time, and he can replicate the DNA of any human or near human through the ingestion of their blood. His own "blood" can be used for several medical purposes, primarily analgesics and rapid healing.

objective: Having vital organs removed -- Ideally in a medical sense, but since this is his primary purpose in existing, the objective would be triggered even if it was for someone's pleasure. He would enter a very... zen state with this. It's kind of a scruffed kitten effect.
